Pictures of food – Osaka and Kyoto

The title says it all. This is the “millennial” thing to do I suppose. Pictures and descriptions of food, drinks, and food-related places during our time in Japan.

Food!

Food is generally pretty cheap in Japan (and really good). We were able to get a solid dinner (usually with drinks) for 2 people for under 3,500 Yen (~$35 USD). Tipping is not customary in Japan. We were never disappointed with our meal except when we were farther outside the city.

Drinks

There are vending machines everywhere in Japan. We found them in the city, at the train stations, and even along the path while climbing a mountain. There are plenty of places to grab a drink (with humans), but more often than not, we grabbed a quick drink at a vending machine. A bottle of water was usually 100-120 Yen. Soda, coffee, or juice was 120-200 Yen. Many of the vending machine dispense hot beverages too (like coffee).

Food etc.
